2. Description of Service
- Desktop (macOS & Windows): Locks the screen until routine modules are completed. Includes journaling, meditation timers, task planning, and video routine features.
- Mobile (iOS & Android): Uses the operating system's screen time management capabilities (e.g., Apple Screen Time API) to limit app access until routines are completed. Includes the same core routine features with cloud-synced data.

4. Subscriptions & Payments
- Desktop: Payments are processed by Paddle.com as the Merchant of Record. Lifetime licenses are available as a one-time payment.
- Mobile (iOS): Payments are processed through Apple App Store via in-app purchase. Managed by RevenueCat.
- Mobile (Android): Payments are processed through Google Play via in-app purchase. Managed by RevenueCat.
- Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through the respective platform's subscription management.
- Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes.
5. Refund Policy
- Desktop: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. Contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
- Mobile: Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. Please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for refund requests.

7. Screen Lock & App Blocking Disclaimer
- Desktop: ZenFirst locks your screen as part of its core functionality. An emergency exit is available at any time by holding Ctrl + Shift + Esc (Windows) or the designated key combination (macOS) for 5 seconds.
- Mobile: ZenFirst uses the operating system's screen time management features (e.g., Apple's Screen Time API / FamilyControls) to restrict access to selected apps until routines are completed. You grant this permission explicitly during setup and can revoke it at any time through your device's Settings.
You acknowledge that screen restriction is an intentional core feature of ZenFirst. You use this feature entirely at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all liability for any damages whatsoever — including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or any other loss or inconvenience — arising out of or in connection with:
- your use of, or inability to use, the App;
- any malfunction, bug, defect, delay, or unintended behavior of the screen lock, app blocking, routine, journaling, meditation timer, or any other feature;
- any missed notifications, calls, alerts, emergencies, or time-sensitive communications resulting from the screen lock or app blocking features;
- any loss, corruption, or unavailability of routine data, journal entries, settings, or any other user content;
- any failure of the App to produce a particular outcome or to meet your expectations.
You acknowledge and agree that you use ZenFirst entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to us (or, where applicable, to Apple, Google, or Paddle for ZenFirst) in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is less.
10. Service Modification, Suspension & Termination
- modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue the App, any feature, or any part of the service (including cloud sync, authentication, and paid features), in whole or in part, on any platform;
- cease operations entirely and shut down the service permanently;
- terminate or suspend your access to the App for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, discontinuation, or termination of the App, including any loss of data, loss of access to features, or loss of the unused portion of any subscription or lifetime license. Lifetime licenses entitle you to use the App only for as long as the App is operated by us; they do not constitute a perpetual guarantee of service availability.
In the event of service discontinuation, refunds (if any) will be handled at our sole discretion or, for mobile in-app purchases, according to Apple's or Google's applicable policies. We are under no obligation to provide pro-rated refunds for unused subscription periods.
11. Data, Backup & Cloud Storage
- we do not guarantee the availability, integrity, or persistence of any data stored in the cloud or locally on your device;
- data may be lost, corrupted, or rendered inaccessible due to third-party service outages, account deletion, software bugs, device failure, or service discontinuation;
- you are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of any data that is important to you;
- we shall have no liability for any loss of, damage to, or inability to access any data, regardless of cause.
