Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using NoScrollHome ("the App") on iOS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

NoScrollHome is an iOS app that helps you stop mindlessly using distracting apps at home. You choose which apps to lock, set your home location and a time window, and while you are at home during that window the selected apps are automatically blocked. The block is enforced on your device using Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls / ManagedSettings / DeviceActivityMonitor) together with on-device location geofencing, and works even if the App is closed or force-quit. The App does not require an account, and your data stays on your device.

3. Free Trial

A 7-day free trial is available with the Yearly plan. After the trial, a paid subscription or the one-time Lifetime purchase is required to continue using the App's blocking features.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Payments are processed through the Apple App Store via in-app purchase and are managed by RevenueCat.
  • The Yearly and Monthly plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through your App Store account's subscription management. The Lifetime option is a one-time payment with no recurring charges.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
  • Prices are shown on the subscription screen in your local currency and may be subject to applicable taxes.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds are handled by Apple according to its refund policy. Please contact Apple Support for refund requests.

6. License

Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use NoScrollHome on your personal devices. You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or modify the App.

7. Location & App Blocking Disclaimer

NoScrollHome requires "Always" location access so that the block can trigger when you arrive home even if the App is not running or has been force-quit. Location is used only for on-device geofencing and is never transmitted off your device. You grant location and Screen Time permissions explicitly during setup and can revoke them at any time in your device's Settings.

App blocking is an intentional core feature of NoScrollHome. A limited number of emergency unlocks is available, and the block also lifts when you leave home or the time window ends. You acknowledge that you use this feature entirely at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties

NoScrollHome is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of bugs, defects, or inaccuracies, and we do not warrant any specific outcome from the use of the App, including but not limited to habit formation, productivity gains, behavioral change, or wellness results.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all liability for any damages whatsoever — including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or any other loss or inconvenience — arising out of or in connection with:

  • your use of, or inability to use, the App;
  • any malfunction, bug, defect, delay, or unintended behavior of the app blocking, geofencing, or any other feature;
  • any missed notifications, calls, alerts, emergencies, or time-sensitive communications resulting from the app blocking feature;
  • any loss, corruption, or unavailability of settings or any other user content stored on your device;
  • any failure of the App to produce a particular outcome or to meet your expectations.

You acknowledge and agree that you use NoScrollHome entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to us (or, where applicable, to Apple for NoScrollHome) in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is less.

9. Service Modification, Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and at any time, with or without prior notice, to:
  • modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue the App, any feature, or any part of the service, in whole or in part;
  • cease operations entirely and shut down the service permanently;
  • terminate or suspend your access to the App for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, discontinuation, or termination of the App, including any loss of the unused portion of any subscription or Lifetime purchase. The Lifetime option entitles you to use the App only for as long as the App is operated by us; it does not constitute a perpetual guarantee of service availability.

In the event of service discontinuation, refunds (if any) for in-app purchases will be handled according to Apple's applicable policies. We are under no obligation to provide pro-rated refunds for unused subscription periods.

10. Third-Party Services

NoScrollHome relies on services provided by third parties, including Apple (App Store, in-app purchase, Screen Time API / FamilyControls) and RevenueCat (purchase and subscription management). We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their performance, availability, policies, fees, outages, or data handling. Any disputes regarding payment processing, in-app purchases, refunds, or platform-level account issues must be addressed directly with the relevant third party in accordance with their terms.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NoScrollHome, its operators, and its affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your use or misuse of the App, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
